Tears of Truth --03.10.03 Monday--
One little girl stood apart from the world;
Her heart was cloaked in grey.
Never had she experienced life;
She was all alone each day.
Her mother was dead, her father was gone;
Of friends she did not have any.
She knew only sadness and hatred and lies;
And dreamed of love and hope and peaceful, night skies.
She always tried her best each day;
Hoping someone would just look her way.
She thought that good was always rewarded;
But her faith was slowly melting away.
She wanted just one chance, one hope;
To live a life full of happiness and love.
She wished alone she didn't have to cope;
Hoping one day she'd be shown how to soar above.
This little girl, she was growing up;
She was learning how never to act or touch.
She never lost hope that someday she'd be found;
And swept away where happiness was always around.
One day one act, it smashed all her heart and hope;
Always as ever, alone she still had to cope.
She was hurt and she was sad, but never was she mad;
She just wanted to rid herself of her pain.
One smile and laugh turned her head that way;
Before her, she found a path out of this fray.
She met a kind stranger who would never show her harm;
And was swept away with his hand on her arm.
She let the tears fall as she told of her story;
Letting her pain and suffering show through it all.
Always she had had faith in the goodness of life;
And was being shown that there was truth in this strife.
She let her tears show the truth of it all;
But never did she think it would matter at all.
She was shown that truth still rewards those that have faith;
And that never should she be afraid of what tomorrow may bring.
She was finally rewarded for all of her days;
She was given a light to guide her in all of the haze.
Happiness and love filled her life there after;
Showing her that never again would she have to be afraid.
Learn from this lesson about truth through it all;
Never be afraid to let the tears of truth fall.
Show your true wants and you will be rewarded;
Maybe someday you will find that one truth that is faithful.
