poem \"Washed Clean\"

Washed Clean --11.01.04 Monday--
washing off the grim and grit;
washing away the sweat and tears;
washing away all the pain,
of so many forgotten years.

washing off the mud and dirt;
washing away the pain and hurt;
washing away all the things,
that were buried in the murk.

washing off so many forgotten;
washing away so much past;
washing away all the memories,
that were scattered in the blast.

washed off,
and washing away;
washed to the bone;
washed clean for the day,
when hopefully life will have honed.
